Denmark: Maersk announces first production from the new unmanned platform Tyra Southeast-B

Maersk Oil has announced that production has started from the new unmanned platform Tyra Southeast-B. The platform is expected to add reserves of 50 million barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) over the next 30 years to Danish production.

Ukraine’s Naftogaz backs extending gas supply deal with Gazprom

Ukrainian state-run energy firm Naftogaz said on Monday it had proposed to Russian gas producer Gazprom that its current gas supply agreement be extended until April 1, 2016, and that it was ready to discuss the proposal.

Russia may allow more firms to access offshore oil – minister

Russia may allow more oil companies to access its offshore projects, Energy Minister Alexander Novak said on Friday. An existing law stipulates that only state energy majors Rosneft and Gazprom can explore offshore fields.

Norway: Statoil awarded drilling permit for well 15/6-13 in production licence PL029 B

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has granted Statoil a drilling permit for wildcat well 15/6-13 in production licence PL029 B. The well will be drilled near the Gina Krogh field in the central North Sea.

UK North Sea workers give overwhelming support for strike ballot – unions

UK: Shell to cut more UK North Sea jobs in 2015
